Base Salary

$147k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code for Cloud SQL infrastructure.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews and evaluate technology choices with peers and stakeholders.
  • Review other developers’ code for style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Contribute to and update documentation and educational content.
  • Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their sources and impact.
  • Develop infrastructure supporting observability, reliability, scalable workflows, Cloud APIs, and managed database services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience using one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, or C++.
  • At least 2 years of experience building, designing, or maintaining database infrastructure, database internals, or distributed database systems.
  • Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience troubleshooting database engine performance, optimizing relational databases, and writing complex SQL queries, particularly for SQL Server.
  • Preferred: experience with Cloud APIs, scalable cloud solutions, high-performance workflow systems, API design, observability, and large-scale managed services.
