Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Manage host and storage systems, including security and compliance activities, ticket resolution, and customer notifications.
  • Monitor and maintain the availability, reliability, performance, and capacity of OCI File Storage Services.
  • Participate in customer-impacting incidents, lead mitigation, coordinate recovery, and drive corrective actions.
  • Own a bounded platform service component or SDK area and evolve its contracts for multi-tenant use.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, optimize, and maintain software features, APIs, and platform services.
  • Create automation, runbooks, metrics, alarms, dashboards, documentation, and operational workflows to reduce toil and recurring incidents.
  • Execute software and infrastructure deployments and review the operational readiness of new features and changes.
  • Investigate performance, capacity, networking, host, and storage-system issues and contribute to capacity planning and resilience improvements.
  • Lead code reviews, collaborate across teams, provide technical customer support, and mentor or guide others.
  • Apply secure coding, software development lifecycle, testing, observability, change-management, and production-readiness practices.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience supporting commercial software, cloud infrastructure, or storage services in a distributed production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, operating systems, networking fundamentals, production operations, storage systems, file systems, and distributed-system fundamentals.
  • Experience with automation or infrastructure tooling such as Python, Terraform, and Bash.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, incident-management, ticket-resolution, metrics, logs, alarms, and reliability-analysis skills.
  • Experience developing software features, APIs, testing, debugging, performance optimizations, monitoring, and observability improvements.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with development, operations, networking, security, and other partner teams.
  • Experience with Agile practices, change management, production-readiness principles, technical documentation, and task management.
  • Preferred experience with NetApp storage platforms, enterprise file-storage services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, highly available operational systems, automation, provisioning, deployment, monitoring, remediation, backup, replication, and disaster recovery.
  • Preferred ability to identify operational toil, perform root-cause analysis, and develop scalable, durable solutions.
