
Senior Software Developer
BroadridgeResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain the NYFIX FIX Marketplace and related products.
- Work across product specification, design, implementation, unit testing, and performance testing.
- Build and support FIX connectivity, message manipulation, security ID translation, post-trade matching, and related services.
- Develop high-performance, high-throughput, low-latency software using C++ on Linux/Unix.
- Provide level 3 production support and occasionally participate in after-hours support calls.
- Troubleshoot and tune application performance and work with middleware and database applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience with C++ on Linux/Unix.
- Strong C++ expertise and in-depth multithreaded programming experience.
- Experience programming high-performance, high-throughput, low-latency applications.
- Linux/Unix proficiency, including shell scripting.
- FIX application development experience and hands-on experience with a FIX engine.
- Experience with order management, order routing, trading, risk management, or similar financial services applications.
- Middleware application development experience with technologies such as TibRV, MQ, 29 West LBM, or Solace.
- STL experience and database application development experience with technologies such as Oracle, Sybase, or MySQL.
- Core Java experience is required; FIX engine development, Perl, Boost, and debugging, memory analysis, or performance analysis tools are optional or preferred.
