Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of complex features across UI, API, and data layers.
- Develop secure, testable, scalable, and maintainable application code using modern architectural patterns.
- Lead system integrations and data modeling for distributed systems, addressing edge cases and performance considerations.
- Build cloud-ready applications compatible with established CI/CD workflows and contribute to logging, monitoring, and diagnostics.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity, code quality, and documentation while applying engineering judgment.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance, design input, code reviews, and informal mentorship to less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent IT experience.
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular and with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience building backend services and APIs using .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful integrations.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications, preferably with Azure, with AWS or GCP acceptable.
- Experience with containerization such as Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version-control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
- Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards or enterprise healthcare platforms such as Epic is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and operate amid shifting priorities.
