Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver billing and invoicing software as part of an Agile Scrum team.
- Build low-level software components, libraries, integrations, and business features using Java and Spring technologies.
- Develop automated unit, acceptance, and integration tests and maintain software quality standards.
- Support production systems, triage issues, migrate releases into production, and improve system resilience and security.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, SRE, and adjacent teams to define requirements, scope, and delivery priorities.
- Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and maintain technical documentation.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing large-scale software solutions with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Dataflow, cloud frameworks, and high-volume REST APIs.
- At least 4 years of experience implementing automated unit, acceptance, and integration testing.
- At least 4 years of experience with MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL or DB2.
- At least 3 years of experience building messaging applications with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent technologies.
- At least 3 years of experience with OAuth and SAML authentication protocols.
- At least 3 years of experience authoring and maintaining vendor-system integration layers.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or related practical experience.
- Preferred: at least 4 years of cloud deployment experience using technologies such as GitHub, Bamboo, GitLab, and LaunchDarkly.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred: experience with legacy-system modernization, Spring batch applications, Control-M, AngularJS, Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, documentation, design, and mentoring abilities.
