Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, release, and support Java applications.
- Write application code using industry best practices and develop unit and API tests.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance using performance testing and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with product development teams to plan new features in an Agile environment.
- Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards and conduct code reviews.
- Support the continuous integration and continuous delivery team.
- Mentor and train junior associates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- 6+ years of overall IT experience.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience as a Java developer.
- 4 years of experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and ORM.
- 2 years of experience with middleware or service orchestration.
- Experience with performance optimization and performance testing or monitoring tools.
- Experience with common industry patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Required technical experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate or Spring JPA, SQL, and Git.
- Preferred experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ, MongoDB or Cassandra, Azure DevOps, and healthcare.
- Preferred experience mentoring and training junior associates.
