Responsibilities

Define architecture, technical strategy, and engineering standards for mission-critical applications.
Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, high-performance Java enterprise solutions.
Drive cloud-native and microservices modernization initiatives.
Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and act as the escalation point for complex architectural challenges.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to align technology investments with business objectives.
Mentor senior engineers and promote engineering excellence, innovation, and best practices.
Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities and drive architectural decisions related to AI adoption.
Establish governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices for enterprise solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical leadership.
Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications and leading architecture across multiple teams.
Expert-level experience with Java, J2EE/Jakarta EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, microservices, distributed computing, and Angular.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Kafka, messaging frameworks, API gateways, and high-volume transaction processing systems.
Experience with AI/ML capabilities, generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI-powered APIs and services.
Experience evaluating emerging technologies and using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor.
Payments, financial services, FinTech, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
Cloud certifications, enterprise architecture experience, modernization and digital transformation leadership, and industry thought leadership are preferred.
