Responsibilities

  • Build and ship customer-facing product features while improving infrastructure with experienced engineers.
  • Learn and apply engineering best practices, agile development, full-stack development, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Use Ambrook’s technology stack to deliver a standalone feature and participate in engineering meetings and peer code reviews.
  • Analyze development practices and codebase improvements, documenting opportunities in a technical note.
  • Own a project from technical design through implementation, including breaking down work, triaging issues, and prioritizing incoming requests.
  • Collaborate with Product on feature prioritization using customer and audience insights.
  • Develop understanding of farm finance, farm operations, sustainability practices, and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with expected graduation in spring 2028.
  • Available to work full-time in Ambrook’s New York City office for at least six months from January through June 2027.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, React Native, and/or Next.js.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to take on ambiguous problems and create technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with when AI coding tools are useful and when to work directly in the code.
  • Bonus: experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or basic ML tooling.
  • Bonus: experience in agriculture.
