Responsibilities
- Create new services and customer-facing applications using modern technologies for digital banking.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and support scalable, high-performance APIs and applications.
- Model and design API interfaces and reusable code structures across applications.
- Automate development-pipeline processes and identify efficiency and continuous-delivery improvements.
- Ensure code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
- Collaborate with technical, product, and business stakeholders in an autonomous Agile product team.
- Lead, mentor, and coach developers through peer programming and knowledge sharing.
- Support production-level software and communicate complex technical details in plain language.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Java 8+, Angular 7+, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and/or NodeJS.
- At least 5 years of experience developing distributed cloud applications using platforms or tools such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting API and interface specifications including Swagger, RAML, and SOAP.
- Experience with development pipelines and tools including Git, Maven, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins, along with continuous integration/delivery and automated testing.
- Experience with security gateways and protocols including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL Certificates.
- Experience across the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, testing, branching, merging, and releases.
- Working knowledge of web application architectures and frameworks including Angular or React and their integration with services.
- Experience supporting production-level software using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Ability to learn new languages, simplify complex problems, and communicate clearly.
- Nice-to-have experience with object-oriented coding, design patterns, refactoring, clean code, Kafka, MySQL, non-relational databases, caching, BDD, TDD, MongoDB, Redis, message-driven architectures, and resilient microservices.
- Additional advantageous experience includes algorithm optimization, large-scale systems, parallel or distributed systems, and scale-out repositories.
