Responsibilities
- Design and develop RAN software features for the 5G-NR DU Layer 2 scheduler, RLC, MAC, and FAPI.
- Work with one or more RAN protocol areas including RLC, MAC, PHY, RRC, and PDCP.
- Perform software testing, debugging, builds, and deployments in cloud-native or virtualization environments.
- Analyze customer issues using development and Wireshark logs.
- Author design documents and groom Scrum user stories and backlog items.
- Mentor other engineers on the team.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of software design and development experience in RAN products or features, particularly 5G-NR DU Layer 2 scheduler.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Experience with software development, testing, debugging tools, builds, and deployments.
- Knowledge of one or more of RLC, MAC, PHY, RRC, or PDCP.
- Experience analyzing logs, including development and Wireshark logs.
- Proficiency using AI tools for design, development, coding, and debugging, such as Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor, Claude, or Codex.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
