Responsibilities

  • Design and architect smaller-scale secure applications and write scalable code.
  • Participate in planning, coding, testing, debugging, and launching across the development life cycle.
  • Maintain and enhance existing data structures and implement scalable data models.
  • Research and evaluate technical and design requirements and prepare proposals for technology improvements.
  • Develop and support web services and APIs, including troubleshooting previously developed solutions.
  • Document technology changes through appropriate change-control processes and comply with J-SOX and other internal controls.
  • Communicate and collaborate with development teams and maintain current knowledge of relevant tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience using Java, SQL Server, and related technologies.
  • At least five years of experience with scalable, high-volume, internet-facing websites, preferably at the enterprise level.
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2012, Eclipse, SVN, GitHub, and TFS.
  • Proficiency with GraphQL or REST-based web services, LINQ, XML, JSON, multi-tier applications, and API development.
  • Experience with SQL databases, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, NHibernate or Hibernate, web forms, and MVC 3.
  • Conceptual understanding and proficiency with CMS tools and frameworks.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, written and verbal communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Mobile experience and JavaScript or Node.js experience are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Hybrid work arrangement in Redmond, Washington, with regular onsite work; fully remote work is not available.
