Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architecture for large-scale supply chain data platforms on AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
- Lead technical decisions across data products and development teams from discovery and architecture through implementation, deployment, and operational support.
- Mentor data engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers while raising engineering standards across the organization.
- Coordinate multiple development teams, set priorities, manage dependencies, and drive execution across parallel workstreams.
- Shape technical roadmaps for cloud data, analytics, and AI/ML solutions with product, operations, architecture, platform, and business stakeholders.
- Establish cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps automation, observability, reliability engineering, and software delivery standards.
- Set standards for responsible AI-assisted engineering, experimentation, security, review, and code quality.
- Provide senior leadership with visibility into technical direction, delivery health, risks, tradeoffs, and key decisions.
- Stay connected to supply chain operations to ensure platform architecture reflects real business workflows.
Requirements
- At least 8 years designing and delivering complex enterprise data and software solutions, including large-scale transformation initiatives.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud-native data architecture on AWS, Databricks, and Azure, distributed systems, integration patterns, and scalable platform design.
- At least 5 years delivering data solutions using Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS Redshift, streaming frameworks, and modern DevOps or platform-engineering practices.
- Expertise in data architecture, distributed data processing, domain-driven design, scalable data platforms, streaming and event-driven systems, data governance, security, observability, and reliability.
- Experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions involving data preparation, model integration, inference workflows, automation, and production enterprise platforms.
- Experience leading or coordinating multiple software development teams, mentoring senior engineers and technical leads, and influencing without authority.
- Ability to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, drive execution, communicate technical strategy and tradeoffs, and balance quality, delivery, AI enablement, and cost optimization.
- Experience working in cross-functional or fusion-team models and adapting teams as priorities change.
- Preferred qualifications include supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment experience; AWS or Databricks certifications; agile certifications; globally distributed team experience; and experience with LLMs, AI agents, emerging technology adoption, or productivity tooling.
