Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architecture for large-scale supply chain data platforms using AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
- Lead technical decisions across data products and development teams, balancing scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability, quality, and cost.
- Guide data solutions from discovery and architecture through implementation, deployment, and operational support for big data and AI/ML workloads.
- Mentor data engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers while raising technical standards across the organization.
- Coordinate or directly lead multiple development teams, setting priorities and managing execution across parallel workstreams.
- Create technical roadmaps and execution plans with product, operations, architecture, platform, and business partners.
- Establish modern cloud-native engineering, DevSecOps automation, observability, reliability, and software delivery practices.
- Manage cross-team dependencies, organizational bottlenecks, delivery risks, technical tradeoffs, and leadership visibility.
- Define standards for AI-assisted engineering, including review, security, quality, experimentation, and adoption practices.
- Stay engaged with supply chain operations to ensure platform architecture reflects real-world business needs.
Requirements
- 8+ years designing and delivering complex enterprise data and software solutions, including large-scale transformation initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud-native data architecture on AWS, Databricks, and Azure, distributed systems, integration patterns, and scalable platform design.
- 5+ years delivering data solutions with Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS Redshift, streaming frameworks, and modern DevOps or platform-engineering practices.
- Expertise in data architecture, distributed data processing, domain-driven design, streaming and event-driven systems, data governance, security, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions involving data preparation, model integration, inference workflows, automation, and AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker and Bedrock.
- Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, influence across multiple teams, mentor senior engineers, and lead or coordinate software development teams.
- Experience aligning roadmaps, managing dependencies, driving execution, and working in cross-functional or fusion-team environments.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical strategy, tradeoffs, and delivery status to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment platform experience; AWS or Databricks certifications; SAFe or other agile certifications; globally distributed team experience; large-scale transformation experience; LLM, AI agent, or AI-assisted development experience; and experience introducing emerging technology into enterprises.
