Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectures, technical capabilities, and integration applicability.
- Drive team adoption of approved AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation practices with validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
- Provide production support on a rotating basis.
- Apply software development lifecycle practices and resilient engineering patterns including circuit breakers, bulkheads, metrics, tracing, alerting, and chaos exercises.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of Java, Java Spring, SQL, NoSQL databases, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
- Experience with microservice architecture, REST, contract-first development, and versioning.
- Experience leading responsible adoption of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on secure, compliant use.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and experience maintaining software in a large corporate environment.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure as code, autoscaling, caching, and managed databases.
- Strong understanding of application resiliency, security, CI/CD, and operational practices.
- DB2 and IBM mainframe integration experience is preferred.
