Base Salary

$239k - $270k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve AI security strategy to protect sensitive mental health data.
  • Lead secure design and threat modeling for AI systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks such as prompt injection and data exfiltration.
  • Build scalable AI security guardrails and tooling for safe experimentation.
  • Establish AI-specific governance frameworks covering identity and access control.
  • Lead the AI Red Team to identify vulnerabilities proactively.
  • Design and implement AI observability pipelines for real-time detection.
  • Develop AI incident response playbooks for rapid containment of security events.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to enable responsible AI innovation.
  • Mentor engineers and define high standards for secure AI development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years focused on security.
  • Hands-on experience securing AI/ML systems and practical AI red teaming.
  • Experience developing automated LLM vulnerability testing.
  • Strong foundation in application security principles and threat modeling.
  • Ability to build tools and automation with a developer mindset.
  • Experience influencing senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of mentoring engineers and cultivating a security culture.
  • Strong knowledge of modern developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and translate AI risks into security controls.
  • Deep personal ownership and passion for advancing AI security.
