Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end release process for storage software and firmware through general availability.
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines, code-management tools, merge workflows, and developer productivity tooling.
- Lead technical triage and release war rooms by analyzing bug reports and logs and coordinating prioritized fixes.
- Improve CI quality, developer experience, reliability, automation, and SDLC build-test-deploy workflows.
- Manage hardware test fleet health, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations for CI and test-orchestration infrastructure and lead incident mitigation and root-cause follow-through.
- Communicate release status, risks, and trade-offs to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps.
- 3–5 years of experience specifically in release management or a lead capacity.
- Expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, branching strategies, and versioning.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for release automation and data analysis.
- Strong Git and codeline-management skills, including merge quality, guardrails, and release-safe integration workflows.
- Ability to analyze logs, triage complex system issues, coordinate cross-functional fixes, and communicate with executive stakeholders.
