Responsibilities
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for software features and user stories.
- Collaborate with BSAs and developers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, identify gaps, and assess system impact.
- Plan and execute integration, regression, functional, end-to-end, smoke, exploratory, manual, performance, and load testing.
- Develop and maintain automated tests, test cases, test data, and automated data-testing scenarios.
- Validate functionality across web service, user interface, file, and database layers.
- Review team testing outputs, maintain quality standards, facilitate knowledge transfers, and promote improved testing practices.
- Demonstrate completed functionality to product owners or during team showcases and provide input into estimates.
- Identify high-risk areas, anticipate testing challenges, communicate test results, and drive issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Five or more years of experience in a technical QA/testing role.
- Proven experience testing software development in a structured environment and managing the defect lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of test levels from unit testing through user acceptance testing and ability to develop cohesive testing strategies.
- Experience with test frameworks, scripting automated functional tests, API testing, microservices testing, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Understanding of application servers, databases, web services, basic programming constructs, and software architecture.
- Experience with Python, ETL, and SQL may be required depending on the assignment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- AWS experience is preferred; GitHub Copilot, accessibility testing, and security testing experience are valued.
