Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality for software applications and make quality-based release recommendations.
- Drive test planning, estimation, risk identification, traceability, and release readiness.
- Define and execute functional, integration, system, performance, and automated testing strategies.
- Establish scalable test frameworks, tools, automation approaches, and quality best practices.
- Expand automation coverage and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Own defect triage, prioritization, root cause analysis, and quality metrics communication.
- Review test plans, test cases, and automation code for completeness and effectiveness.
- Identify test process gaps and lead improvements.
- Mentor and coach junior test engineers on test design, automation, and quality practices.
- Collaborate with development leads, product owners, cybersecurity teams, and global stakeholders on architecture, design, and quality risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong background in software testing and quality engineering for product development.
- Strong understanding of functional and non-functional testing principles and test design techniques.
- Experience leading test planning or managing test activities.
- Experience with Windows and web applications, including .NET, React, Angular, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Strong programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python, Java, C#, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with API testing and performance testing tools such as Postman and JMeter.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and Stage-gated New Product Development processes.
- Exposure to cybersecurity practices.
- Ability to manage priorities, stakeholders, deadlines, and technical risks effectively.
- Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
