Responsibilities
- Set priorities and influence decision-making on core cloud infrastructure.
- Own design, delivery, and operations of cloud infrastructure initiatives.
- Demonstrate proficiency across multiple layers of AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Execute VPC deployments and manage routing updates.
- Configure and support various AWS Load Balancers.
- Maintain Route 53 records and manage DNS forwarders.
- Support and troubleshoot advanced connectivity components.
- Monitor and maintain Site-to-Site VPNs and multi-VPC peering connections.
- Use Terraform or CloudFormation to deploy networking resources.
- Proactively improve observability and reliability of systems.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, and Security Groups.
- Solid understanding of ELB and Route 53.
- Practical experience with Transit Gateway and Direct Connect.
- Proficiency in writing and debugging Terraform or CloudFormation scripts.
- Strong grasp of the OSI model, TCP/IP, and CIDR notation.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues in cloud environments.
- Comfortable working within a DevOps framework.
