Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps, and recognize testing challenges or impediments.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, and test cases.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive test automation initiatives using scripting, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Create defect reports, track defects to resolution, and provide timely test-result updates to management.
- Forecast high-risk areas, anticipate software issues, and drive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Follow QA processes and standards and establish collaborative relationships across teams.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and develop talent, where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations.
- Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, and tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Ability to follow QA processes and standards and perform functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- People management skills and the ability to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire, and grow talent.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
