Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction by translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs.
- Lead the development of integrated enterprise applications that are resilient, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with architectural standards.
- Personally develop and deliver complex code modules, stable application systems, and integrated software solutions.
- Resolve complex problems spanning multiple applications and lead projects with significant business implications.
- Drive disaster recovery, capacity planning, performance, regression and chaos testing, observability alerts and dashboards, and reliability processes.
- Educate and mentor others on engineering standards, code quality, test coverage, security principles, and development best practices.
- Explore and recommend enterprise software components and technologies while simplifying solutions and resolving escalated issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
- At least 7 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering competencies involving frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
- At least 6 years of experience implementing solutions through iterative Agile development lifecycles.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field.
- Preferred: at least 6 years of experience with technical documentation, business systems, source code control systems, IT Infrastructure Library frameworks, defect or incident tracking software, web services, application and integration middleware, and systems analysis.
- Preferred: at least 6 years of experience with at least three of continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
- Preferred: at least 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports.
