Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications, websites, and digital platforms using front-end and back-end frameworks.
  • Support SaaS, enterprise, and cloud-based deployments on Shopify, Acquia, Gravyty, and AlumnIQ.
  • Build core and custom functionality with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Liquid, and Node.js.
  • Write scripts to automate deployment, configuration, and API installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
  • Maintain platform governance, documentation, security, accessibility, and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology teams on security, connectivity, and deployment concerns.
  • Partner with Marketing Intelligence to translate audience insights into personalized experiences.
  • Work with external vendors, monitor project budgets, and support communications and marketing initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience in journalism, communications, or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Three or more years of full-stack development experience is preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Liquid, Node.js, and front-end frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Drupal back-end modules, PHP, YAML, and Composer is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Shopify and Acquia is preferred.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences and manage multiple projects in a complex environment.
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment, strong organization, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and flexibility are required.
  • Must reside in Georgia and be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule.
