Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications, websites, and digital platforms using front-end and back-end frameworks.
Support SaaS, enterprise, and cloud-based deployments on Shopify, Acquia, Gravyty, and AlumnIQ.
Build core and custom functionality with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Liquid, and Node.js.
Write scripts to automate deployment, configuration, and API installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
Maintain platform governance, documentation, security, accessibility, and technical standards.
Collaborate with Information Technology teams on security, connectivity, and deployment concerns.
Partner with Marketing Intelligence to translate audience insights into personalized experiences.
Work with external vendors, monitor project budgets, and support communications and marketing initiatives as required.

Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience in journalism, communications, or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Three or more years of full-stack development experience is preferred.
Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Liquid, Node.js, and front-end frameworks is preferred.
Familiarity with Drupal back-end modules, PHP, YAML, and Composer is preferred.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Shopify and Acquia is preferred.
Ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences and manage multiple projects in a complex environment.
Professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment, strong organization, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and flexibility are required.
Must reside in Georgia and be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule.

Regular work-from-home flexibility with required in-person work at Emory two days per week.
Hybrid work status and schedule are subject to department guidelines and may change with notice.
The role requires residency in the state of Georgia.
