Base Salary
$123k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural and technical design decisions for features, services, and platforms.
- Decompose epics into implementation plans, review designs and code changes, and manage technical risks and dependencies.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web, mobile, cross-platform, and backend applications.
- Build scalable APIs and event-driven serverless architectures on AWS.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, blue/green deployments, observability, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.
- Prototype product concepts with Claude, Amazon Bedrock, and other generative AI platforms, and establish team standards for AI-assisted engineering.
- Lead and mentor a small engineering team while partnering with Product Managers, Architects, and QA.
- Participate in rotational on-call duties outside standard business hours when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 4 years, a Ph.D. and 1 year, or 18 years of related experience.
- Full-stack fluency across React and TypeScript, Flutter and Dart, and Python or Node.js.
- At least 2 years of hands-on AWS serverless experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, serverless deployment patterns, and production delivery.
- Professional experience rapidly prototyping with AI or generative AI tools.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring small engineering teams.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and AI tool limitations.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated output for correctness, security, and production readiness.
