Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural and technical design decisions for features, services, and platforms.
  • Break down epics and features into implementation plans, assign ownership, and review technical designs, code, and pull requests.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web, mobile, cross-platform, and backend applications.
  • Build scalable APIs and lead event-driven, serverless architectures on AWS.
  • Implement infrastructure as code, deployment strategies, observability, automated testing, and monitoring.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.
  • Prototype product concepts with Claude, Amazon Bedrock, and other GenAI platforms, and establish team standards for AI-assisted development.
  • Serve as the technical anchor for a small engineering team, mentoring engineers and partnering with Product Managers, Architects, and QA.
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties outside standard business hours when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience, or alternative combinations including a master’s degree with 4 years, a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 18 years of related experience.
  • Full-stack fluency across React and TypeScript, Flutter and Dart, and Python or Node.js.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on AWS serverless experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and serverless deployment patterns.
  • Professional experience rapidly prototyping with AI or GenAI tools.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring small engineering teams.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and AI tool limitations.
