Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise release infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for independent microservice deployments across multiple environments and regions.
- Build automated release orchestration with deployment strategies, dependency management, rollback capabilities, and observability-based rollback triggers.
- Create pipeline-as-code and self-service infrastructure capabilities that allow development teams to manage deployments while following organizational guardrails.
- Architect Terraform automation, policy-as-code, compliance automation, and reusable infrastructure modules for consistent environment provisioning.
- Establish DevOps metrics frameworks covering deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, mean time to recovery, and related performance indicators.
- Mentor engineering teams and lead adoption of platform engineering, infrastructure-as-code, DevOps best practices, and culture transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering, including 5+ years leading release infrastructure and platform enablement initiatives.
- 3+ years of hands-on GitHub Enterprise experience and at least 3 years of AWS Cloud experience.
- At least 2 years of programming experience in relevant languages for automation, scripting, and platform development.
- Expert experience designing enterprise CI/CD platforms for large-scale microservices ecosystems and building self-service infrastructure platforms.
- Expert Terraform experience covering reusable modules, state management, and automation at scale.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps for enterprise development workflows and repository management.
- Experience implementing DORA metrics and other DevOps performance indicators.
- Experience with Backstage is a strong plus, and experience with Flyway is required.
- Demonstrated technical mentorship, cross-functional communication, DevOps transformation leadership, and the ability to establish engineering best practices.
