Responsibilities
- Design scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
- Own the technical aspects of sales opportunities, including discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, prioritization, pipeline generation, and end-to-end deal execution.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and promote customer success and satisfaction.
- Share field feedback with product teams, improve solutions and processes, and mentor Solutions Consulting colleagues.
- Maintain product and industry knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of related industry experience, ideally including 2 years in a customer-facing role.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures and recommend improvements using technology.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to leadership.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional sales teams throughout the full deal cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in Italian.
- Experience with major cloud providers, technical pre-sales, database programming, data models, data engineering, or AI/ML projects is preferred.
- MongoDB or cloud provider certification is preferred.
