Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on Stripe’s Optimized Checkout Suite, Adaptive Pricing, Managed Payments, Orchestration, and BNPL integrations.
- Design payment optimization, multi-PSP, and orchestration architectures for global enterprises.
- Advise customers on global payment methods, BNPL strategy, regulatory considerations, and checkout and billing integration patterns.
- Create reference architectures, reusable assets, and best practices for the broader go-to-market organization.
- Partner with Payments product sales on complex opportunities, lead solution strategy, and own key customer relationships.
- Represent customer needs internally to influence product and feature prioritization.
- Identify trends in payment orchestration, cost optimization, and alternative payment methods and provide actionable insights.
- Drive complex technical issues to resolution with Stripe engineering teams.
- Support executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or a closely related industry in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.
- Strong knowledge of global payment methods, including cards, wallets, bank-based methods, and BNPL, with regional and regulatory context.
- Experience designing payment optimization architectures for large enterprises, including multi-PSP environments and orchestration layers.
- Knowledge of authorization improvement levers including local acquiring, network tokenization, 3DS, and smart retries.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering and API integration patterns.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful payment APIs into web applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO payment standards, card network rules, payment cost modeling, interchange optimization, processor benchmarking, and marketplace or platform payment flows is preferred.
- Experience with Stripe Connect, multi-party transactions, or relevant industry, vertical, or product expertise is preferred.
