Responsibilities
- Build and maintain secure, repeatable AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and related Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI, including quality gates and governance controls.
- Implement IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, compliance guardrails, and least-privilege security practices.
- Package and operate services with Docker on ECS and EKS, and use Lambda for event-driven workloads.
- Implement observability, alerting, remediation, and cost optimization using CloudWatch, Datadog, and Grafana.
- Develop reusable platform blueprints and self-service capabilities for engineering and data teams.
- Enable data processing, enterprise API, database, cloud-service, and messaging integrations using SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
- Build Python integrations with AWS Bedrock, foundation models, LLM APIs, and embedding services.
- Implement RAG workflows including document ingestion, chunking, vectorization, retrieval, and grounded response generation.
- Monitor and evaluate AI applications, optimize inference costs, and integrate AI workloads into CI/CD and MLOps processes.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, data, and machine learning teams and mentor peers.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in AWS, continuous integration and delivery, cloud engineering, or a similar software engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Load Balancers, SQS, and SNS.
- Experience with automated build and deployment pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and/or Ansible.
- Practical Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of AWS networking, security, IAM, least privilege, Docker, containerization, Linux and Windows infrastructure, Linux administration, Bash, and shell scripting.
- Strong proficiency with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Python 3.x, API development, cloud-native applications, and software engineering practices.
- Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and integrating cloud and enterprise services.
- Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, AWS Bedrock or an alternative managed GenAI platform.
- Experience using Python with LLM APIs, AI services, or foundation models, plus basic understanding of RAG architecture and vector search.
- Understanding of deploying AI applications with Docker and AWS ECS, EKS, or Lambda, and foundational MLOps/LLMOps practices.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, a technical field, or a related subject area.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes/EKS administration, Helm, GitOps/Argo CD, AWS EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, Service Catalog, Cost Management, Kafka, SageMaker, Databricks, Snowflake, MLflow, Hugging Face, Strands Agents, LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP, Airflow, and dbt.
- AWS certifications and experience with AI/LLM evaluation, observability, security, prompt/model caching, inference-cost optimization, and AI agents are desirable.
