Responsibilities
- Build systems with a focus on testing, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design, model, and program using a variety of languages and technologies.
- Work on legacy code and greenfield development.
- Drive projects to completion and promote appropriate technologies and best practices.
- Provide on-call support as needed and collaborate with other developers on shared tasks.
Requirements
- Multiple years of server-side development experience.
- Understanding of microservice architectures, the CAP theorem, functional paradigms, and type theory.
- Confident JVM knowledge and familiarity with Java, Python, or Clojure.
- Experience with Airflow or other Python-based workflow orchestration tools is desirable.
- Proficiency in domain-driven design and domain modeling is desirable.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Git is desirable.
- Working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is desirable.
- Experience using AI coding assistants, exposure to agentic frameworks or MCP server development, and knowledge of financial concepts, exchange trading, or physical energy trading are desirable.
