Responsibilities
- Turn product scope into working products and testable releases.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and data-handling components.
- Build frontend experiences that connect backend services to users.
- Apply and improve advanced AI-assisted development, testing, and validation workflows.
- Integrate AI capabilities where they add product value.
- Collaborate with product and design using data, user insights, and hypotheses to guide implementation and validate outcomes.
- Improve product performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to deployment, maintenance, and operation while owning the software delivered.
- Help establish AI-native engineering practices and share learnings across the organisation.
Requirements
- Senior-level hands-on engineering expertise in frontend development, backend development, or both, including architecture trade-offs, automated testing, debugging, and production monitoring.
- Full-stack experience with React or a comparable frontend framework and Node.js with JavaScript or TypeScript, including APIs, integrations, and data handling.
- Experience using AI across substantial parts of product delivery, including advanced agent-based or spec-driven workflows, contextualisation, evaluation, and production accountability.
- Experience working in a cross-functional product organisation with product managers and designers, using data and user insights to validate hypotheses and outcomes.
- Ability to demonstrate how AI improved delivery and where it required additional care.
- Preferred experience with Rust and/or Python, AWS, distributed, event-driven, or serverless systems, automated delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code, mobile development, experimentation tooling, user-experience metrics, and AI/ML product integration.
