Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services, data pipelines, automation, integrations, and product features.
- Write clean production code, unit tests, technical documentation, and user-facing documentation.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, and production support.
- Build software with attention to reliability, scale, secure coding, privacy, and customer needs.
- Lead small-to-medium features and projects from technical design through completion.
- Participate in on-call rotations, postmortems, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
- Track product adoption and success metrics and advocate for customer-focused product improvements.
- Mentor peers and engineering interns and share technical knowledge across teams.
- Coordinate project timelines, specifications, stakeholders, and delivery alternatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience, master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, or PhD plus 0 years of related experience.
- Working and expanded conceptual knowledge of the primary technical job family and proficiency with current technologies.
- Preferred 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on data engineering, system integration, and backend application development.
- Proficiency with Python for data pipelines, automation, REST APIs, and backend services.
- Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise solutions.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Experience with data and integration technologies such as Airflow, Kafka, GraphQL, or Heroku.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and a plus for Salesforce integrations or platform technologies.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, Git, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
