Responsibilities
- Develop reusable libraries, plugins, CLI tools, and scalable test harnesses for test execution, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
- Build automation for distributed systems, microservices, mobile native applications, and cloud SaaS applications.
- Write maintainable Java and JavaScript/TypeScript code for automated testing workflows.
- Integrate testing tools with Git, Jenkins, Harness, artifact repositories, test management systems, reporting platforms, device farms, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Containerize testing tools with Docker and orchestrate test environments using Kubernetes.
- Partner with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to address testing challenges and deliver tooling solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering and test-tools development.
- Strong Java programming skills focused on tooling and automation.
- Experience extending or customizing Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman, Bruno, REST Assured, and Karate.
- Experience integrating Jira, Qmetry, ReportPortal, Allure, ExtentReports, Grafana, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, BrowserStack, and LambdaTest.
- Strong command of relational SQL and non-relational NoSQL databases and experience with Kafka publish-subscribe messaging systems.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, and event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies and continuous delivery.
