Responsibilities
- Redesign, customize, and optimize e-commerce websites.
- Build and maintain React-based frontends for e-commerce websites.
- Develop product-category and business-unit verticals.
- Improve the internal e-commerce CMS, including purchase orders, supplier integrations, product management, pricing, and SEO data.
- Handle and process large data volumes efficiently.
- Design and maintain scalable APIs and frontend integrations.
- Review pull requests, support quality assurance, and share development best practices.
- Mentor developers and contribute to architecture, process improvements, and complex technical decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, IT, Marketing, and Design teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Ruby on Rails development experience, including recent Rails versions and version upgrades.
- At least 3 years of experience building modern frontend applications with React.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs.
- Strong knowledge of frontend and backend software architecture and design patterns.
- Proficiency with Git version control and QA processes.
- Familiarity with Docker containers.
- Experience with e-commerce implementations or complex backend systems.
- Experience with frontend performance and accessibility.
- Nice-to-have experience with Hotwire Native, Elasticsearch, Memcached, Redis, or Google Cloud Platform.
