Responsibilities
- Own and design varied technical tests within the Search Intelligence stack and use results to drive technical design decisions and best practices.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Search Intelligence software solutions.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Search Intelligence features at Google's scale, including for the Indian market.
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects and manage priorities, deadlines, deliverables, team alignment, and timelines.
- Collaborate with executive engineers, AI/ML researchers, and Product Managers to translate innovations into technical designs and implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, or fine-tuning.
- 5 years of experience with speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms and 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: experience with agentic frameworks, LLM-powered automation, classifiers, machine learning, AI, ranking, and research.
- Prior Search experience and the ability to demonstrate AI fluency are expected.
