Responsibilities

Build a resilient, decentralized peer-to-peer search stack with no centralized index.
Develop high-performance, highly concurrent networking code.
Work on distributed indexing, distributed databases, CRDTs, and P2P networking.
Implement and evaluate search-engine architecture, ranking, lexical and semantic search, and inverted indices.
Test, evaluate, and optimize network protocols and decentralized systems.
Use and contribute to the Holepunch stack, including hyperdht, hyperswarm, hypercore, hyperbee, hyperdrive, and udx-native.

Passion for peer-to-peer technology and an interest in research with a strong bias toward building.
Deep understanding of some combination of Kademlia DHT; distributed indexing and research topics such as skip graphs, prefix hash trees, m-LIGHT, and locality-sensitive hashing; distributed databases and CRDTs; P2P networking; classical information retrieval; network protocol testing; and high-performance concurrent networking.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, transport-layer connection orientation and reliability models, multiplexing, NAT traversal, and encryption.
Understanding of recall versus precision, ranking algorithms, lexical versus semantic search, inverted indices, and search-engine architecture.
Excellent English communication skills.
