Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Process structured and unstructured data and scale ML and LLM infrastructure while optimizing infrastructure costs, GPU utilization, memory management, and training workflows.
- Design and maintain production-grade distributed training systems for ML, causal, GenAI, and multimodal foundation models.
- Create reusable technical assets that accelerate adoption of ML, optimization, and GenAI across science initiatives.
- Optimize AWS AI/ML infrastructure costs, GPU utilization, model-training latency, and fine-tuning on massive datasets.
- Develop monitoring and debugging tools to ensure the reliability and performance of training workflows and investigate LLM system issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to evaluate technical approaches, prototype models, and solve complex problems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience building large-scale machine-learning infrastructure for online recommendation, advertising ranking, personalization, or search.
