Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable test automation frameworks, quality infrastructure, and testing architecture.
- Define and execute the strategic vision for quality engineering in alignment with business objectives and product roadmaps.
- Champion AI-assisted testing practices and emerging technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and release velocity.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform leaders on quality priorities, governance, and release confidence measures.
- Conduct root cause analysis of complex production and test failures and identify systemic quality risks and remediation strategies.
- Advance observability, monitoring, CI/CD quality gates, and release validation across cloud-native architectures.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to SDETs and QA engineers.
- Lead modernization efforts to reduce test debt, improve tooling, and increase development-team productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development and test engineering experience, including technical leadership.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Deep expertise designing scalable automation frameworks for distributed systems and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Extensive experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and load testing.
- Strong debugging and observability experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python, JavaScript, C#, or Rust.
- Preferred: experience implementing AI-assisted testing solutions.
- Preferred: strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
- Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep.
- Preferred: knowledge of security testing, vulnerability scanning, and threat modeling.
- Preferred: extensive experience with CI/CD platforms and automated quality gates.
- Preferred: familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
