Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test plans, strategies, test cases, and test results.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Build and maintain test automation using scripting languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Drive automation initiatives and apply formal software test design techniques.
- Create defect reports and track defects through resolution in a defect management tool.
- Identify requirements gaps, testing impediments, and high-risk software areas.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Provide timely and meaningful test-result updates to management.
- Support quality processes, standards, and compliance with applicable industry standards.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, and help hire and develop talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong background in manual and functional QA testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations.
- Hands-on experience with test automation, frameworks, and tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents.
- Experience gathering and understanding requirements and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Knowledge of functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- People management experience, including managing conflicts, increasing productivity, hiring, and growing talent, is valued.
