Responsibilities
- Review functional specifications for technical feasibility and recommend improvements.
- Implement complex features and services using efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Lead code reviews, technical design reviews, and architectural discussions.
- Own critical codebase areas, reduce technical debt, and improve engineering tooling and developer productivity.
- Monitor production features and improve logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, reliability, and resilience.
- Break down work, refine estimates, identify technical risks, and support timely delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, develop workarounds, and create actionable bug reports.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, remove blockers, mentor teammates, and improve development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role.
- Advanced proficiency in the team’s core programming language or languages, with C# or Java object-oriented programming skills required.
- Advanced command of role-based development tools, modern IDEs, Git, continuous integration and delivery, and issue tracking.
- Knowledge of software design techniques, design patterns, SOLID principles, refactoring, system architecture, APIs, data modeling, and performance and scale considerations.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, test automation, continuous delivery, production monitoring, and observability.
- Ability to design scalable technical solutions, lead technical discussions, influence architecture and processes, manage technical debt, and guide others.
- Professional working proficiency in spoken and written English.
