Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, development, and operation of mission-critical processing services connecting edge devices with the Pure1 cloud platform.
- Partner with Product and Architecture teams to translate complex requirements into scalable and resilient architectural designs.
- Experiment with technologies, platform ecosystems, and architectural patterns to improve performance, security, and cost-effectiveness for petabytes of real-time data.
- Apply comprehensive unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Resolve complex interoperability issues between new and existing system components to maintain high availability and global accessibility.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience architecting, implementing, and testing product components in large-scale, complex distributed systems.
- Proficiency in a modern backend programming language, with Java preferred and Python or Go as useful additional languages.
- Understanding of distributed systems principles, networking infrastructure, and Linux operating environments.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to write secure, high-performance, and maintainable code.
- Experience collaborating effectively in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment and quickly learning new technologies.
