Base Salary
$190k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical interviews.
- Create software, tooling, and distributed systems for automating data center network hardware and compute stacks.
- Create and operate shared infrastructure for Stripe’s cardholder data environment.
- Develop deployment tooling.
- Prepare for and participate in SOX compliance audits and perform remediations.
- Prepare for and participate in PCI compliance audits and perform remediations.
- Perform project management activities.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of software development experience.
- Two years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform infrastructure automation.
- Two years of experience with reliability, scalability, and distributed systems principles.
- One year of experience with Go and Ansible.
- One year of experience with Puppet host configuration.
- One year of experience with Ruby and Python.
- One year of experience mentoring and leading junior software engineers.
- One year of experience performing 24/7 on-call rotations supporting high-availability software systems.
- One year of experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- One year of experience with computer network concepts.
- One year of experience with Linux operating systems and subsystems.
- One year of experience with cloud and application security best practices.
- One year of experience with PCI compliance monitoring, audit processes, and evidence collection.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $190,400.00–$285,600.00 per year, excluding potential equity, bonuses, or commissions.
- 50% remote work permitted.
- Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
- 40-hour work week.
