Base Salary
$170k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of complex initiatives across web and mobile platforms.
- Build and enhance React and React Native applications for veterinary professionals and industry partners.
- Set engineering standards, improve code quality and test coverage, and develop shared libraries and architectural patterns.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and influence engineering direction across multiple teams.
- Partner with the CTO, engineering leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders on high-impact solutions.
- Design features and data models, optimize database queries and API interactions, and improve system performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex full-stack issues in a fully remote team environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience owning complex, production-grade systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language and strong experience with modern web frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React, including large-scale front-end architecture.
- Experience designing scalable systems, APIs, and data models.
- Experience with relational databases and query optimization.
- Consistent practice writing well-tested, maintainable, and reliable code.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical decision-making.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, adaptability, and effectiveness in fast-paced environments.
