Responsibilities
- Design and develop algorithmic trading strategies using quantitative methods and statistical analysis.
- Implement and optimize execution algorithms to improve trading efficiency and reduce market impact.
- Analyze market microstructure and develop models for predicting short-term price movements.
- Collaborate with quants, developers, and traders to translate trading ideas into production-ready code.
- Monitor and evaluate trading strategy performance and make real-time adjustments as needed.
- Research new trading opportunities and market inefficiencies.
- Maintain relationships with electronic trading venues and liquidity providers.
- Contribute to the firm’s electronic trading infrastructure and technology stack.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure compliance in trading activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in electronic trading or a similar financial-markets role.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Java, or Python, including experience in low-latency environments.
- In-depth understanding of market microstructure, order types, and exchange connectivity.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with high-frequency trading and algorithmic execution strategies.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing market conditions and technologies, and uphold strong ethical standards.
- Preferred: experience with Rates, equities, futures, options, or FX; market-making and risk management strategies; MiFID II or Reg NMS; distributed systems and cloud computing platforms; and KDB or another time-series database.
