Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to conduct discovery and clarify ambiguous requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Design and document solution architectures, target-state designs, and integration designs.
  • Develop proofs of concept to evaluate potential solutions for future services.
  • Collaborate with engineers to create detailed delivery roadmaps.
  • Define observability requirements covering metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Participate in design reviews and architecture review boards.
  • Work with internal groups, third parties, and external suppliers.

Requirements

  • Experience designing or implementing distributed system architectures.
  • Experience as a technical architect or technical lead.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working within an agile methodology.
  • Architecture-related qualifications such as TOGAF are preferable.
  • Experience with software engineering technologies such as Java or C# is preferable.
  • Experience with multiple database technologies, including relational and document databases, is preferable.
  • Cloud architecture experience or qualifications are preferable.
