Base Salary

$137k - $141k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop original technical solutions and design applications or subsystems across multiple platforms and projects.
  • Architect and implement high-performance backend components and resilient RESTful API services using Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and Maven.
  • Develop and maintain event-driven compliance workflows using Apache Kafka, Spring Kafka, and durable producer-consumer messaging patterns.
  • Build and optimize SQL and PL/SQL solutions, database procedures, indexing strategies, and execution plans for complex financial datasets.
  • Perform unit, component, integration, functional, post-installation, and user acceptance testing using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, and Cypress.
  • Support all phases of testing through implementation and produce comprehensive application documentation.
  • Establish project plans for projects of moderate scope and conduct independent technical and functional analysis for complex assignments.
  • Use Jira and GitHub in Agile and Scrum delivery processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, branching, and pull-request reviews.
  • Coordinate with product owners, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and business partners to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree in one of the specified fields and one year of relevant experience.
  • Experience designing and developing enterprise-grade applications and database solutions for IT solutions in a financial services, operations, or product development environment.
  • Expertise with Java and Scala backend development, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, query optimization, indexing, execution-plan tuning, and database procedures.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, Spring Kafka, Offset Explorer, event-driven workflows, producer-consumer patterns, and schema-managed topics.
  • Experience with Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, test runners, automation tools, and multiple levels of software testing.
  • Experience using Jira, GitHub, Agile, and Scrum practices.
