Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers to analyze requirements and produce technical solutions and execution plans for software products.
- Design, implement, and deliver production-grade streaming ingestion using Flink or similar technologies, emphasizing low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance.
- Solve problems involving timely computation, stateful stream processing, partitioning, and resilience while troubleshooting technical bottlenecks.
- Participate in code, design, and performance reviews and help raise the team’s technical standards.
- Work with technical leads to build a backlog that contributes to roadmap execution.
- Collaborate with global engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to translate business requirements into robust engineering solutions.
- Develop advanced application infrastructure that reduces common organizational challenges and developer maintenance costs.
Requirements
- More than five years of backend development experience and experience developing large-scale distributed systems are required.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python, along with strong software and system design abilities, is required.
- Candidates should have deep familiarity with the standard library, idiomatic usage, and best practices of their primary programming languages.
- In-depth knowledge of storage and streaming over PostgreSQL or Kafka is required.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, parallelization, large-scale data-processing pipelines, and search engines such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, or Elasticsearch is preferred.
- Exposure to microservice architectures, observability, and cloud-native infrastructure such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience integrating AI-powered search enhancements such as embeddings, semantic search, or re-ranking models is a plus.
