Responsibilities

  • Perform bench- and vehicle-level regulatory testing at the Milford and Warren sites.
  • Plan and execute regulation-related tests to meet vehicle program timing.
  • Develop test methods and models for testing critical system components.
  • Automate test scripts and use HIL setups to execute closed-loop test procedures.
  • Capture and analyze data to troubleshoot issues.
  • Use Jira and PRTS to execute work tickets and document issues.
  • Generate and approve test evaluation reports.
  • Schedule test properties and interpret regulatory and system requirements.
  • Build archives and flash vehicle software components.
  • Set up test environments using fixtures and tools.
  • Mentor new engineers and travel as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Electrical or Infotainment Systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate testing results effectively.
  • Ability to act as the single voice for bench- and vehicle-level testing for assigned regulations.
  • Understanding of engineering theory, mechanical and electrical mechanisms, automotive wiring and architectural design documents, and system design.
  • Knowledge of CAN-based communication and tools.
  • Experience with requirements analysis, test case authoring, software/calibration, scripting, and test automation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred: Level 1 or 2 driving experience for MPG.
