Responsibilities
- Develop digital solutions delivered to GDS standards in multidisciplinary product and DevOps teams.
- Design, code, debug, and maintain Golang-based systems and supporting web technologies.
- Work in product development environments using observation, experimentation, and user research.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and multiple releases each week.
- Develop and maintain unit, functional, API, and UI test automation.
- Work with relational databases, data modelling, SQL scripts, and stored procedures.
- Participate in technical interviews and present work during the final interview stage.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience developing digital solutions to GDS standards and working in Agile product development environments.
- Demonstrable experience working in multidisciplinary teams and continuous improvement environments with frequent releases.
- Demonstrable experience designing, coding, and debugging Golang-based systems.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian tools, Maven, Gradle, Ant, and Git.
- Experience with TDD, unit testing, JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, functional test automation, API testing, and UI testing using tools such as Cucumber and Nightwatch.
- Good knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL, including data modelling, SQL scripts, and stored procedures.
- Nice-to-have experience includes AWS, Camunda, Activiti, Flowable, React, Angular, Vue.js, Red Hat OpenShift, and the NCSC's 14 cloud security principles.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance acceptable to UK government customers, have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship, and have lived in the UK continuously for at least five years.
