Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot services in a microservices architecture.
- Lead development efforts using event-driven architectures and Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Architect, design, and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL for performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Apply domain-driven design to build robust solutions for complex business domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global partners to support integrations and expand the Wise payment platform.
- Participate in code reviews, promote best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend services, or similar languages and frameworks.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven design.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Domain-driven design experience is a plus.
- A strong product mindset, customer focus, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
