Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
- Build, optimize, and maintain infrastructure CI/CD pipelines and establish DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes environments across EKS, AKS, GKE, on-premises, and cloud environments.
- Implement platform engineering tools, developer portals, artifact repositories, API gateways, and self-service capabilities.
- Define monitoring, alerting, and observability standards to support infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions involving networking, microservices, security, traffic management, and platform risk.
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and maintain engineering documentation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience designing and administering complex platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- At least 2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible, plus automation platforms including AWX, Ansible Tower, or Terragrunt.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- At least 2 years of Kubernetes administration experience across on-premises and cloud environments, with knowledge of networking, RBAC, pod security, service mesh, and Docker image management.
- Experience with cloud networking including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, BGP, OSPF, Layer 2/3, MPLS, DNS, load balancing, and traffic management.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go scripting and version-control systems including Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience with developer portals such as Backstage, artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory or Nexus, API gateways, and internal platform tooling.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Honeycomb, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong understanding of IaaS/PaaS architectural patterns, microservices, security best practices, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance.
- Ability to operate autonomously, contribute to engineering standards, make complex technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
